Transfer business has been hinted by the Hibs chief.

Ben Kensell has teased that Hibs transfer business is on the way as excitement for the new season builds.

The chief executive has been reacting to the release of the club’s new home kit, but with it he provided a wink and nudge that new players will be wearing it. So far under head coach David Gray, the club are yet to make any signings.

Veterans such as Paul Hanlon, Lewis Stevenson, David Marshall and Adam Le Fondre have all vacated their posts in the team, while last term’s loanees have also moved on. It has Gray looking to the transfer market to try and beef up his side.

There is already a hefty amount of senior players contracted to Hibs ahead of a Premiership term where improvement on last season’s bottom six finish is a must. Taking to social media, Kensell has named five things that have got him excited about Hibs right now - one of which is incoming talent.

The CEO posted on LinkedIn: “A new season. A new classic kit. A new club super store. A new complete stand refurb and new signings incoming. Exciting times ahead at Hibs. Thanks to everyone involved for their hard work and ongoing support.”

Returning to action isn’t far away for Gray and co. They will return to HTC for pre-season training ahead of a friendly with Edinburgh City before the end of the month. Then, they will jet out to the Netherlands for an intense pre-season training camp that precedes Premier Sports Cup group stage action.
