Four stalwarts of the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service are finally hanging up their gowns - after giving over a century of service between them.

Margaret, 65, Derek, 57, Irene, 70, and 62-year-old Rhoda will leave their positions for the last time following with a presentation by colleagues to be held at the capital court building this Friday.

The quartet are all now looking forward to a well-earned break with Margaret, from Livingston, planning on eventually filling her time in the voluntary sector and Derek, from Bathgate, hoping to spend more time out on his motorbike.

Irene, from Edinburgh, says she and her husband have plans to travel more and Rhoda, from Fife, is looking to spend more quality time with her family.

Les McIntosh, Sheriff Clerk Edinburgh & Sheriffdom Business Manager Lothian & Borders, said: “All of that experience will be sadly missed by colleagues and Sheriffs but they go with our very best wishes for a long and happy retirement.”
