Edinburgh Airport are encoring travellers to plan their travel in advance and consider using public transport. Providing a statement on their website, they said: “We're encouraging passengers to leave extra time for their journeys as the Highland Show, combined with the busy summer holiday period at the airport, means there may be some queuing traffic on routes around the airport - particularly in the west of the city.”

They added: “In particular the A8 Glasgow Road is likely to see queues, so anyone arriving at the airport by car is encouraged to factor this in when planning their journey.”
