Hotel du Vin's new menu is a bit different
When Hotel du Vin & Bistro promises something a little different from their new Spring Fixed Price Menu, that combination might not be one that immediately springs to mind, yet there is, listed for all too see.
Hotel du Vin is embracing the changing of the seasons with a new menu bursting with fresh flavours.

Or you could have the Caesar Salad Croquettes and Seaweed Cured Salmon.
Other starters to whet the appetite are Potted Ox Tongue with pickle, toasted sourdough and home-made salad cream and Seaweed Cured Salmon with oatcake and ice plant.
For mains, tantalise the taste buds with succulent Duck and Prosciutto Ragout Rigatoni Bake.

Other options are Short Horn Brisket and Onion Pudding, to which you can add a West Mersea rock oyster for £2.50, or if you’re looking for a seafood hit, there’s Moules A La Biere with roast potatoes.
And for desserts? How about the delightfully decadent rich chocolate pudding, with a light peanut butter mousse, and candied maple bacon?
Or the wonderfully retro Lancashire Bomb Cheese and Eccles cake.
