Hibs fans were understandably fed up after watching their side limp to a 1-0 home loss to St Johnstone.

Bryan Wood summarised: “Both teams were as bad as each other. Absolutely nothing in the game other than a usual Hibs mistake.”

Megan Skinner sighed: “Hibs back to ruining weekends as per.”

Mark Stevens was concerned: “How many Hibs players would make the St Johnstone team? Only Paul McGinn has scored against them in the last four games, when two of those games would have secured a cup final and this one effectively secured 3rd place. Woeful.”

Freddie White wrote: “That’s as poor as a performance I’ve seen from Hibs. No drive, no desire, and that was against a Saints side who made seven changes! Shocking from Ross and Hibs! Losing next week is unthinkable.”

Jason Kemp wrote: “If we lose the next two games a great season could become a shocker. Still looks a huge mistake not signing a third striker in January. Now piled the pressure on ourselves in the next two games which will literally make or break our season.”

One fan joked: “At least Hibs have quickly shed the tag of cup favourites!”

Aiden McKee tweeted: “Not sure why Hibs fans are surprised – surely we’re all used to this by now?”

RIchard Dalgleish said: “Someone was saying to me it’s eight or nine years since St Johnstone last lost at Easter Road. Take nothing away from St Johnstone; hats off to them, but it was just not good enough from Hibs.”

Steven Stokes added: “Left ourselves a lot to do in these next two league games!! Must win against United on Saturday though.”

Stephen Sibbald joked: “Hibs TV could have just shown any home game against St Johnstone from the last ten years and I wouldn’t haven’t noticed the difference. I dread any potential cup final against them. Totally got our number.”

Francisco Patrick moaned: “Did Magennis actually play? Did Irvine play? Did Wright ever play? Utterly pathetic, Hibs.”

Suzanne Henderson tweeted: “Aye, it's not like Hibs to make hard work of something, said no one ever.”

Logan Rutherford wrote: “Can always rely on Hibs putting a dampener on what was otherwise a good Saturday... on to next week!”
