“Forfar are a very good side and penned us back during the second-half although Shannon Lynn didn’t have any saves of note to make.
“Our two 18-year-old centre-halves were absolutely fantastic and defended brilliantly against everything Forfar threw their way.
“The togetherness the girls showed during the match was something I haven’t seen in my two-and-a-half years with the club. This is the type of result that we may look back on in six months and highlight as a huge three points.”

Boss Ian McDonald commented: “We lost six bad goals and were at times our own worst enemy. The Celtic goalkeeper made a great save from Kat Smart with the score 4-2 and had we scored then, we may have pushed on and taken something from the match.”
Meanwhile, Spartans conceded a 94th minute equaliser to draw 4-4 at Ainslie Park against Hamilton Academical.
Spartans dropped down to fifth in the table and find themselves trailing Glasgow City by a massive 11 points after just seven fixtures.
