The alarm was raised at 6pm yesterday.
Several fire engines were sent to Edinburgh bus station yesterday evening following a fire alarm.
Thee vehicles were sent to the Elder Street station after a call shortly before 6pm.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that the incident was a false alarm.
