Anti-social behaviour on buses: 15-year-old boy charged in connection with verbal abuse to bus driver and spitting on his bus in Lothian
Police received a report on April 12 of a bus driver being verbally abused and his bus spat at whilst stopped on Newbigging in Musselburgh.
Following an enquiry, a 15- year-old male youth has now been identified and charged in relation to the incident.

Hide AdA Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Any incidents of abuse culminating to criminal conduct aimed towards bus drivers will be investigated thoroughly by Police Scotland and the persons responsible charged and reported accordingly.”
The news comes following a string of reports of anti-social behaviour on buses in the Lothian area.
In Edinburgh, an investigation has been launched by the police after a group of youths smashed a bus window, prompting the suspension of services in the area.
A spate of antisocial behaviour saw Lothian Buses cancel all of their services after 7pm back in March.
