All pubs and restaurants in the Central Belt are closed for two weeks from October 9 in a bid to prevent further spread of the coronavirus – but they are allowed to stay open for takeaway and delivery service.
So, we thought we would select a few of Edinburgh’s top hot deals in the city at the moment to share with you for when you’re next in the mood to treat yourself. And if you’re not one for self-love, try one of these anyway to give the hospitality trade some support!
1. Kinleith Mill
Kinleith Mill in 604 Lanark Road, Juniper Green, Edinburgh are offering some fantastic deals while eating out in and around the city is on hold. From Thursday to Sunday, 4pm to 8pm, all orders placed before 5pm on Friday will receive a whopping 20 per cent discount. 2. The Khukuri
The Khukuri Nepalese Restaurant and Takeaway with branches in Blackhall and Haymarket is offering 30 per cent off on all takeaway and food deliveries deal between October 9 and 25 while places to eat out are temporarily closed. For a few weeks after October 25, Khukuri will continue to knock 20 per cent off food as well. 3. Mako Deli
If you like the finer things in life, then maybe look no further than Mako Deli who are offering something a little different to your usual restaurant takeaway meal. Delicious cheeses from Scotland and Europe, complimented by all homemade chutney, breads and crackers, home marinated olives, organic nuts and dried fruits can all be delivered to your door in a beautifully packed compostable box for just £25 (feeds 2-4 people). 4. Lioness of Leith
Lioness of Leith in Duke Street is offering £10 for any burger and fries from Friday 5pm and Saturday and Sunday all day. Staff have also teamed up with Bacardi to bring two special cocktails - ‘Crazy In The Coconut’, to bring back those summer feels with a mix of coconut and almond flavours and the bittersweet ‘Brambleroni’, a classic negroni with Bombay Bramble gin.
