Vietnam: The death toll from Tropical Storm Mirinae rose to 99 today as authorities estimated damage from the storm at £33 million.
Military helicopters continued to drop food and water to victims in the isolated areas, and soldiers in speed boats also contributed to the relief efforts.
Philippines: Gunmen opened fire on a commuter bus, killing two and wounding eight passengers.
It is not yet clear who was responsible for the attack.
