Petrol station robbers caught after forgetting to top up their tank

Two men who robbed a petrol station might have got away with it if they had also filled up at the same time.
Police caught them after their getaway car ran out of petrol.

They raided the station in Kirwood, New York, but found themselves stranded at the side of the road about a mile away.
