AN indictment listing charges against the man accused of killing schoolgirl Vicky Hamilton has been served.
Peter Tobin, 61, will face charges of abduction, murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice. A preliminary hearing is scheduled to take place at the High Court in Edinburgh on September 1.

Vicky Hamilton, from Redding near Falkirk, was 15 when she was last seen waiting for a bus in Bathgate in 1991. Her body was found last year in Kent.

It was discovered in the garden of a house in Margate.

Her initial disappearance led to one of the biggest missing person inquiries ever held in Scotland.

Tobin was arrested and made a brief appearance at Linlithgow Sheriff Court last November.
