POLICE say there have been several unconfirmed sightings of missing pensioner Mary Ferns in the Capital.
Mrs Ferns was last seen about 9.30am on Tuesday June 17 when she left her home in Livingston to go shopping.

Her intended destination was believed to be the Almondvale Shopping Centre but she is known to have travelled by bus to Edinburgh in the p
ast.

To date there are no confirmed sightings of Mrs Ferns within the Livingston area.

There have, however, been a number of unconfirmed sightings in central Edinburgh, between June 17 and 19, including a shop in Rose Street.

Police are anxious to hear from anyone who travelled by bus from Livingston to Edinburgh, leaving the Howden area of Livingston at or shortly after 9.30am on Tuesday June 17, who may have seen Mrs Ferns.

The 88-year-old is described as being about 5ft 3ins, of slim build, and was believed to be wearing a brown jacket and skirt, brown shoes, and carrying a distinctive floral patterned walking stick.

Anyone with information which may assist the enquiry, should contact the incident room at Livingston Police Station, on 01506 445 680, or Crimestoppers in confidence and complete anonymity on 0800 555 111.
