THE family of a young boy who died after being hit by a car have reacted with anger to the jail sentence for the driver.
Irfan Khan was sentenced to 20 months in prison and banned from driving for two years.

Khan, 34, of Curlew Brae, Ladywell, pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice at Linlithgow Sheriff Court last week.

But the court found he was not responsible for the death of seven-year-old Kurt Lynn.

He admitted lying to police and asking staff at his garage to tamper with CCTV footage of him driving that day.

Kurt ran in front of Khan's 4x4 while playing near his home on Craigshill East road last October. He died that night from his injuries.

His mum Natasha McDonald, 26, was reported as saying: "That man drove over my son and left him for dead without even stopping. He should be put in jail for the rest of his life as far as I'm concerned."
