A PENSIONER fell victim to a bogus workman she hired to carry out weeding in her garden.
The 74-year-old answered her door to the suspect in West Park Grove in Broxburn, West Lothian, at about 3.15pm on Tuesday.

He asked if she needed any gardening done and the woman invited him inside. But after asking to use the toilet he stole her purse, containing bank cards.

He is described as white, 25 to 26 years old, medium build, around 5ft 6in tall, with short dark hair and a local accent.
