Small firms paying big price in credit crunch

ONE in ten small business owners can no longer afford to run their firm because of the credit crunch, according to a new report today.
Research by Royal & Sun Alliance showed companies in the north were hardest hit by the downturn, while those in the south west were least affected. Most of the 300 small firms had seen suppliers increase costs.
