Mother cleared after dropping sausage roll

Hull: A case against a mother who was taken to court after dropping a piece of sausage roll on the pavement was dismissed by magistrates.
Sarah Davies, 20, was and fined £75 after the pastry fell on the floor while she was feeding it to her daughter Chloe, four.

She was charged with littering after she refused to pay the fixed penalty notice and pleaded not guilty.

Kent: Two motorcyclists died after being involved in a head-on crash. A 17-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man, both said to be local, died as a result of the accident in Sevenoaks.

Good for her! Maybe if more people stood up for themselves, we would see less of this "blindly obey the rules" culture and more common sense.

For instance, if half---only HALF---of the motorists caught by speed cameras insisted on their day in court, if even to register a guilty plea (which is their right), we would see an end to speed cameras within a month because the courts would not be able to cope.

But no. The vast majority simply sign and obediently pay up, thereby allowing the authorites to get away with the biggest and most blatent travesty of justice ever.

Isn't pastry a natural substance and therefore totally bio-degradable? What's-more, a whopping great seagull probably got to it within seconds - SO WHERE'S THE LITTER?
