Ex-defence chiefs blast UK's Afghanistan policy

THREE former defence chiefs have launched a scathing attack on Gordon Brown's Afghanistan policy.
Ex-chiefs of the defence, General Lord Guthrie, Admiral Lord Boyce and Field Marshal Lord Inge's comments add further pressure after another bloody week for British troops.

Lord Guthrie accused the Prime Minister of "dithering".

These brave defence chiefs savage the govt whilst safely bunkered down in the house of lords ,pensions safe and protected. why did they not have the courage to say what they think when they were serving military men?

#2, Because they were soldiers , not politicians. A soldier implements policy, they do not formulate it.
