A WOMAN today taunted the family of her former lover as she was cleared of killing him.
Laura King attacked Alexander "Blue" Thomson at her flat in Edinburgh's upmarket Morningside in January this year.

King admitted that she struck Thomson three times over the head with a wine bottle during a fight in her Edinburgh flat

The 20 year-old apprentice electrician later died following the early hours assault.

King and her friend Peter "PJ" Tarwinski stood trial accused of the culpable homicide of Mr Thomson.

But, a jury today convicted her of the reduced charge of assault and found Tarwinski not guilty of the killing.

King was remanded in custody pending sentencing next month.

The 24 year-old taunted the victim's family as she was lead to the cells by mimicking at them to "keep the chin up".
