TWO men have appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of an Edinburgh businessman outside a city casino.
Frank McGlone, 38 and 20-year old James Corbett, both from Paisley, appeared on petition in Edinburgh Sheriff Court for a brief hearing in private today before Sheriff Andrew Lothian.

They are charged with the attempted murder of 62-year-old Tony DeMarco outside the Gala Maybury Casino on June 3.

No plea or declaration was made and the case was continued for further inquiry. Both men were remanded in custody.

Mr DeMarco, of Danderhall, suffered head injures after being shot outside the casino and was taken to the city's Western General Hospital, where he was treated under police guard. The shooting sparked a major police investigation.
