CALLIGRAPHER boasts worthy designs on the News International EBF Conditions Stakes at Lingfield.
Trained by the on-form Michael Jarvis, the son of Rahy must have every chance of supplementing a recent Pontefract success with victory in Surrey.

The two-year-old chestnut showed resilience and class to come up trumps in what is already emerging
a significant maiden. Watertight form lines are prominent as Film Set, the runner-up that day, has since hit the target in a similarly competitive event at Newbury.

Having already shown up well on the sand on his debut, only moderate improvement would be needed to see Calligrapher home and hosed in this six-furlong affair.

Daniel Thomas is coming to hand nicely for the Menzies Distribution Handicap. The six-year-old did well at Warwick last time when recovering from a tardy start to stay on for fourth.

Daniel Thomas will never hit the heights of his juvenile days – the gelding won at Lingfield off a perch of 92 in 2004 – but connections have found a decent opportunity for him in this one-mile challenge.

Whatyouwoodwishfor was just denied at Pontefract and looks the proverbial good thing at Kempton.

Unplaced in three six-furlong York maidens earlier in the year, Richard Fahey's juvenile had clearly improved for a break when sent to West Yorkshire.

Whatyouwoodwishfor flew from off the pace under Dale Gibson and may well have beaten subsequent winner Go Go Green within a few more strides.

Reunited with Paul Hanagan for the digibet Nursery, Whatyouwoodwishfor can make amends from off the same mark.
