CALUM ELLIOT became Livingston's 13th signing since the new regime took over but coach Roberto Landi says his arrival may not be the last new face at Almondvale in the coming weeks.
Chairman Angelo Massone is keeping his cards close to his chest as the deadline approaches and considering whether to stick or twist as midnight on Monday nears.
However, Landi is keen on the club organising a post-deadline get together of non-at
tached players to investigate the possibility of finding an unsigned gem, missed by the bigger clubs.
The Italian said: "I get offered players every day from all over the world. But they have to be right for Livingston. There are a lot of players out there who are unattached and it would be good to bring a few over who we have identified to see if they will fit into the squad.
"I am very happy with the squad, but I need more options.
"There is a big expectation here and the players feel it. It is good, but also creates tension."
Meanwhile, captain James McPake has backed the club's ambition under Massone.
He told the club's website: "People are seeing Livingston now as a team that can get back to the SPL.
"The chairman has shown the ambition by bringing in so many new boys, new management and turning down bids for me and Dave MacKay.
"People say the squad lacks depth, but I disagree, there is good competition for every place in the team."
The Lions cross the Forth to face Dunfermline tomorrow having won their previous seven matches and, an eighth victory, which would be their fifth straight league win, could send them to the top depending on other results.
