EDINBURGH Falcons Cycle Speedway team are celebrating a top-three finish in the Northern League with a win at home to Bury in their final fixture of the campaign.
The Lancashire outfit started well in tricky condition and established an early lead but the Capital side, with former Scotland internationalist Alan Smith top-scoring, gradually overhauled their opponents and emerged with a 91-81 victory.

That result, combined with a defeat for Astley & Tyldesley against Stoke, confirmed third spot for Falcons.

The performance caps an excellent season for the Redbraes Park side, who won the Northern Alliance Knockout Cup in June.
