CHANCELLOR Gordon Brown will mark the 300th anniversary of the Act of Union tomorrow with the launch of a new £2 coin design, it was announced today.
It will be launched at the Scotland Office in London, at a reception attended by Scottish Secretary Douglas Alexander and George Reid, the Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament.

A programme of events to mark the anniversary, unveiled by the parliament today, includes a sixth-year conference for Edinburgh schools in June, which will include debates on the history and future of the Union, a conference of academics in September, and educational events with workshops at Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood in the autumn.

I want the £1 notes back. I'm fed up the the big heavy £2 coins.

An even better idea: Give Scotland Independance back.

What is the point the SNP are going to turn into the new labour. They instigated the oppressive smoking ban. Now if they were to reverse that they would have my vote.
Instead they now want to raise the price of alcohol so that means more laws and regulations. Which is one of the many reason, we want rid of the labour party in the first place.
