1 What is your earliest memory of Edinburgh? I was just five and I remember the smell and the hustle and bustle of Waverley Station. It overwhelmed me when I first arrived from Dundee with my brothers and sisters to start a new life in Edinburgh.
2 What are your memories of school? I remember the quarter pint of school milk we were given every day – it was always warm – and my first teacher at Stockbridge Primary, who was a dragon.
3 Where is your favourite place in Edinburgh and why? I love sitting in Princes Street Gardens, looking up the Castle and knowing I am in the centre of a major city – it's such a marvellous feeling.
4 What are the best things about Edinburgh? It takes no time to get from one end of the city to the other. Edinburgh is also such a vibrant place and I love festival time.
5 What would you change about the city? The parking is quite hideous and I spend a fortune on parking tickets – it makes me think of all the shoes I could buy. . .
6 Describe a perfect Edinburgh day/night out? I'd enjoy a girlie lunch and shopping at George Street and Harvey Nichols (preferably buying shoes) followed by dinner with my husband at our favourite restaurant, La Bruschetta.
7 Which sports interest you? None really – I am far too interested in shoes to spend time on sports. I did buy a pair of trainers ages ago but they have only ever been worn once.
8 What was your most embarrassing moment? I walked in on a couple in the throes of passion when I was showing a house. The couple weren't even bothered but I didn't know where to look.
9 What is your greatest achievement? It has to be bringing two children into the world and them turning out to be lovely adults. I can even proudly say that I work with one of my children and it works out beautifully.
