THE woman charged with forging closer links between the Capital and Glasgow was to give a major speech in New York last night.
Laura Gordon, director of the Glasgow–Edinburgh Collaboration Initiative, was to talk at New York Public Library.

The VisitScotland event was part of Scotland Week.

Ms Gordon said: "We want people not only to visit Scotland, but to look at Scotland in a wider context, and the important role of the Central Belt within this in regards to attracting inward investment."
