FIRST Division promotion hopefuls St Johnstone have signed striker John Stewart on a six-month loan from Falkirk.
Former Aberdeen frontman Stewart, 22, was left behind by Falkirk for their recent trip to Holland after missing a club memorial service for former youth-team player Craig Gowans. However, Falkirk manager John Hughes has not ruled out Stewart returning to the Bairns for the second half of the SPL season.

Hughes said: "I'm hoping John can take advantage of this move and get himself a regular game and prove to us that he can do a job."
