HEARTS stars Christos Karipidis and Saulius Mikoliunas dropped into Sighthill Primary School this morning to promote the Aegon Breakfast Club.
The initiative, sponsored by Sykes Global Systems and supported by Hearts, aims to make sure kids get a hearty breakfast to set them up for the school day.

And as it is Chinese New Year at the moment, the kids were treated to an unusual feast. They enjoyed noodles and spring onions and a selection of exotic fruit as part of their nutritious first meal of the day.

The Heart of Midlothian FC Education and Community Trust launched the Evening News-backed initiative – to set-up breakfast clubs at all 94 city schools – last year.

Lee Wallace stayed well away - when the coco pops start popping, he thinks there's a drive-by happening, so he jumps a mile.

Man, it must be tough to come from a hood, Lee?

I'm guessing that we'll both be about 11,000 each?

All joking aside, its been a hard season for both clubs and for very different reasons take up of STs will go down by at least a couple at ER, but Tynie faithful have probably been let down a lot more.

Oooh tast! Noodles and spring onions for breakfast - just the way I like to start out my day.

Also note big Nade's absence from the breakfast table - he was back at home tucking into his tasty Slimfast shake instead.

What a fantastic initiative this is by "The Life & Soul" of Edinburgh, and something that can change lives.
Well done Hearts.
