MARIUS ZALIUKAS has flown to his native Lithuania for treatment on his injured ankle and remains four weeks away from a first-team return with Hearts.
However, the defender's prolonged absence has been offset to a degree by the news that Michael Stewart and Christian Nade will be fit to play in Saturday's Edinburgh derby.

Midfielder Stewart, also suffering from an ankle complaint, missed last we
ekend's defeat by Motherwell in which Nade was carried off on a stretcher. Manager Csaba Laszlo confirmed that both players will recover in time for the visit of Hibernian.

"Michael Stewart will be fit, definitely," said Laszlo. "Against Motherwell he was out but we are very confident he will be fit against Hibs. Nade did not train on Sunday but I think he will be okay for the derby."

Zaliukas has featured only five times for Hearts this season due to a combination of suspension and injury. He last appeared in the 2-1 victory over Hamilton on 26 September but excess fluid on his ankle has failed to subside since then. He is now consulting Lithuanian medics in an attempt to remedy the problem.

"Zaliukas needs four weeks more, this is the situation," continued Laszlo. "He has gone back to Lithuania because his problem is the ankle and the fluid on it. We consulted with some Lithuanian doctors and physios so he has gone back there for treatment. He should be there maybe about another week."

Spanish winger Suso was due to undergo hernia surgery yesterday and must endure around a month of rehabilitation before he can return.

"Suso will be out after the surgery and he will be missing for three or four weeks," said Laszlo. "But I hope that Calum Elliot will begin to train with the team in the next two weeks, as will David Templeton."

why do all the yam crocks have to go "home" for fixing? Don't we have specialists in Edinburgh, or are they cheaper abroad, perhaps?

home for a wee rest and a break to be with family and friends plus full pay,no bonus though but why worry when you dont have to earn to sustain a living, the tynie rehab plan is one of the best in europe many members of parliament have contracts similar to hearts foriegn imports.

watch nade on from the start but when he finds he's no support with him his injury will come back on again! If Hearts can play like we did in 2nd leg against Dinamo Zagreb then I think it's safe to say Hearts will defo at least get a point.Play like our last 2 weeks then Hibs won't need any of the luck they are getting to score a couple of times.

You may think the Memorial Service is funny - tragically many families throughout the UK take it more seriously!

I'm going in to positive/optimistic mode in the run up to the game.
Sadly Hearts will play with one up front and try to hit Hibs on the counter attack.
Hibs on the other hand will continue to play the fast flowing football of recent weeks and have six up front,
three in midfield and one at the back to stifle Nade.
Pat Nevin will be in the stand wetting himself as Hibs take the park, hoping his new love don't let him down.
And I don't want any Hearts fans banging on his window
cause he's a sensitive wee soul.

You could do one side on Saturday and the other side on Sunday. That would leave time to get into work on Monday.

I'm quite glad Nade is fit to be honest. I was worried Lazlo might be forced to change things - I'd rather he kept it the same for another week.

On a brighter note for you lot: Maybe the breaking up of the banks and smaller banks being required, might just create an opportunity for Mad Vlad's bank to get going?

Rolland,

#21 - Well spotted, watch this space, Romanov already has his legal team working on it.

Glad Nade is fit the big man has a knack of scoring against the wee team.

Mind you if we went with Glen along side him it would be a real boost. Still reckon the points will be staying at Tynie. Agree with those that think Murray will get sent off, he can't handle the whitehote Tynie atmosphere, never could he is a cert to walk.

SUCH CONFIDENCE COMING OUT THE HOLES FROM OUR WEE CHUMS DOON IN LEITH. If anyone who has been boring themselves with this forum as long as me they will remember this time last year. Hibs were flying, Hearts were scrapping away in the lower end of the league. Hearts went on to finish 3rd and also knocked hibs oot the cup. Its always been the way . Hibs do well until xmas and sometimes into about february. The injurys and suspensions kick in and its freefall from then on in. Every season without fail. Hearts and Dundee utd for top 4 again folks.

Rolland,

#29 Let them be confident, it makes victory all the sweeter for us, I just love, julst love it when we beat them as Keegan would say.

And they have their playmaker injured for Saturday they can replace him with a Falkirk reject, should be a hoot. Misfits and Rejects, kinda suits the hobos though. The clocks have gone back its about now they fade away so here's to whiping so hobo ass on Saturday. Always like the early kick offs too, it really spoils there weekend.

#22 - how can you say that murray can't take the pressure at tynie. he is a very experienced player who can play in numerous positions. i can also tell you that ian murray has never been sent off against hearts (fact) which makes me wonder how you came to this conclusion. fair enough the atmosphere at tynie will be electric come saturday, but i believe murray and the rest of the team can keep there cool for the 90 mins.
