Frail pleased with reserves
HEARTS reserves lost out to a late goal against Rangers at Broadwood Stadium yesterday afternoon.
A last-minute strike from former Falkirk player Alan Gow snatched victory for Rangers against a young Hearts side who more than held their own against their more experienced Ibrox rivals.
Hearts interim head coach Stephen Frail said: "We had an under-17 and under-19 defensive partnership and that certainly bodes well for the future."
And Frail hinted that one or two of the younger players could even make it into the squad for this weekend's crunch SPL clash with Dundee United at Tynecastle, saying: "We might well look at including one from the reserve team this weekend against Dundee United but I don't want to name him as that adds pressure.
"There are certainly one or two capable players coming through, in addition to those we have got in the team so far, so it's one area we can be reasonably positive about."
