FALKIRK'S bid to hold off Hearts in the race for a top-six place could be boosted this weekend by the return to fitness of striker Michael Higdon after almost three months out injured.
The Bairns' top goalscorer had been sidelined since he damaged knee ligaments at the start of January but he could come into contention for Saturday's clash with Kilmarnock.

Falkirk currently sit three points ahead of the Jambos in the table and also have a superior goal difference with just two games to go before the split.

Higdon returned to full training yesterday and Falkirk boss John Hughes admitted he could return this weekend to boost his side in attack.

"Michael joined back in with the boys training and took part in everything we did during the session," he said.

"He's worked really hard to return from his injury and we're delighted he's now back training with the first team.

"We'll assess him during the week and see how he is.

"Saturday might be a bit too early for him (to start] but hopefully he can play some part in the game.

"I think we've missed him but I would say we miss all the players when they are injured."
