E-MAIL users are being targeted by a new complex scam originating from west and southern Africa, trading standards chiefs have warned.
There are several variations of the same message, involving a request for personal bank account details, supposedly to enable the transfer of a large quantity of US dollars from a secret overseas account. All of the information is false and anyone responding runs the risk of actually losing money.
