Kilt is not just any old fling
A CAMPAIGN is under way to protect Scotland's most iconic piece of clothing.
The Government has backed an MEP and a renowned kilt designer, who believe the word "kilt" should only be used to describe a pure wool, hand-sewn garment made in Scotland.
Howie Nicholsby, 29, who owns 21st Century Kilts, has teamed-up with the SNP's Alyn Smith, in an effort to combat the influx of cheap, machine-made versions.
