BREWER Scottish & Newcastle UK has announced that its managing director has unexpectedly resigned with immediate effect.
The Edinburgh-based firm said Jeremy Blood left "for personal reasons".

He had been in post for just over a year, since Heineken bought the UK operation of the firm, and had been with the company for more than 20 years.

Didier Debrosse, Heineken's regional president for western Europe, said: "I would like to thank Jeremy for his significant contribution to building the company ."
