PAUL HARTLEY insists Scotland have nothing to fear heading into the forthcoming World Cup qualifying campaign.
In fact, the midfielder believes other nations should be worried about facing the Scots who kick-off their 2010 campaign in Macedonia next month.

Hartley, 32, said: " Teams do fear us again because of the results we've had and when we have given a good account of ourselves against the likes of Italy and France. But we now need to take that into the next campaign, especially at home. Our form at Hampden over the last couple of years has not always been great, while our away form has always been decent."

Hartley spurting his usual p!$h. Nobody fears Scotland, we have flattered to decieve over the last couple of years. It will be business as usual under Burley. Fail to qualify.

Its no disrespect to Burley, the same thing would have happened under Smith and or McLeish (Both of which are way over rated). We might have beaten a poor French side twice but we FAILED, so what is there to fear.

#1 I agree with some of what you say, its not the results against France that are the problem, its the results agains the other opposition, yes we will beat the France's, Holland's etc occasionally but we lose or draw too often against lower class opponents to make make people "fear" us.

Concentrate on building a stronger squad capable of coping with injuries and suspensions, therefore making us capable of beating the lower class teams and then we will start to improve.

I certainly have nothing to fear because I won't be watching it.

"we lose or draw too often against lower class opponents"

To be fair we managed to buck this trend in the last qualifiers beating faroes and Lithuania twice, and Georgia once.

Knowing Scotland we will prob fail to qualify this time with a much poorer group lol

Ordered new home top, gutted im missing Macedonia and Iceland but cant wait for Norway at home and Dutch away!!

With Celtic and Rangers populated by non Scots how can you expect the National Team to succeed.

You bunch of misserable deserters. Scotland qualification at WC2010 is nota certainty but is a good possibility. I'll enjoy watching them try. Good Luck to Burley and the squad.
