AWARD-winning broadcaster Darren Adam is to join Talk 107 from rival station, Radio Forth.
Mr Adam will take over the 10am-2pm slot from Monday, November 3.

A spokesman for Talk 107 said: "I can confirm that Darren is joining the station. He will start on Monday, November 3, presenting his own mid-morning show.

"It is fantastic he is
starting then because he is a bit of a news junkie so it will be an exciting time for him, with the US presidential election and two Scottish by-elections."

The move is part of a shake-up of Talk 107, which is struggling to gain listeners from rival Edinburgh station Forth One following its launch in February 2006.

Mr Adam started at Forth One in 1993, moving from a night slot to lunchtime, then the breakfast show, which he presented for seven years, before moving to sister station Forth2 where he presented the 9am-noon segment.

He picked up a gold prize at the New York Festivals Radio Broadcasting Awards in June for the coverage of last year's Scottish Parliament elections.

And as an accomplished voice-over artist, Mr Adam should have no problems in the transition from music to a talk radio station. He is the latest in a string of former Forth One presenters to join Talk 107, including Mark Donaldson, Scott Wilson, and Micky Gavin.
