Blockbusters help deliver £2m boost for Cineworld

BLOCKBUSTER films including Indian Jones and Sex and the City ensured cinema giants Cineworld recorded a £2 million revenue rise this year to £137m.
Figures show takings for the films neared £40m and £26m respectively, although overall admissions fell by 4.8 per cent.

The company said that the decline was down to fewer major film releases during the first half of 2008 in comparison to previous years.
