A GIRL who was able to walk again, despite the odds being stacked against her, is to represent the Sick Kids hospital in an awareness raising campaign.
Seven-year-old Kelsey Moir has a rare condition which weakens her muscles and brings on skin rashes.

Her juvenile dermatomyositis led doctors to tell her she was unlikely to walk again, until she stunned medics by walking across the room unexpectedly some years ago.

Now she will travel to meet dignitaries in London on behalf of the Sick Kids Friends Foundation to highlight the plight of children's healthcare.

The Falkirk girl will then move on to Disney World in Orlando with 70 other families from across the globe.

Maureen Harrison, the charity's chief executive, said: "It's great that we are able to nominate Kelsey as our Champion Child so that with her family she can join other champions in celebrating."
