Hybrid embryo research blow

CARDINAL Keith O'Brien has welcomed the results of an opinion poll showing that over two-thirds opposed the creation of part-human, part-animal embryos.
The poll conducted on behalf of the Catholic Media Office, asked how strongly people opposed or supported such research. It found that 67 per cent opposed any moves to create hybrid embryos.

Cardinal O'Brien, who has led UK opposition to the Bill, said: "I am delighted to see the overwhelming majority of people, like me, are completely opposed to the creation of animal-human hybrids."

Meanwhile, the Church reports that its efforts remain unstinting in its research to create part-priest part-choirboy embryos.

Two thirds of whom? Obviously this 2/3 don't have a clue about how these 'embryos' are going to be made and that there is no animal DNA involved. Maybe they should look to their own fairytales and superstitions before they knock scientific research that actually could save lives rather than kowtowing to men in frocks who ruin them.
