RANGERS have failed in a bid for Motherwell defender Mark Reynolds.
Rangers are reported to have offered between £750,000 and £1million for the 21-year-old, who played in every one of Motherwell's games last season.

But Motherwell insist the Scotland Under-21 international is not for sale at any price. Well boss Mark McGhee last week rejected an offer from Hearts to stay at Fir Park for the club's UEFA Cup push and he has been assured by chairman John Boyle none of his top players will be sold.

McGhee said: "Our top players are not for sale and if they are sold then I will be going out the door with them."

Reynolds is under contract at Motherwell until 2010. I see no reason whatsoever why Motherwell should sell him this season, at least to another SPL club, nor why he would want to leave... the boy's a Motherwell fan, and must be loving the idea of playing in Europe with the club he followed as a boy.

He'll be breaking into the international squad soon, and with another season or two under his belt he'll get a much better move than Rangers, and Motherwell will benefit to a lot more than the tune of a laughable £750k.

Not surprised rangers were interested in him as he looks a good young player.

No chance I think the players you mention along with Deco, Bent, Leko and others were always destined for Parkhead.
