N Korea terror blacklist plea

A JAPANESE parliamentary committee today adopted a resolution urging the US to keep North Korea on its terrorism blacklist.
The resolution called the abduction of Japanese citizens in the 1970s and 80s "terrorism" and also urged the Japanese government to step up its diplomatic efforts to gain Washington's understanding.

Japan believes the North has abducted more than a dozen of its citizens since the 1970s.
