Garbage announces 'last headline show in Scotland' as part of Edinburgh Castle Concerts series
Iconic alternative rock band Garbage has announced a special performance at Edinburgh Castle next summer.
Edinburgh’s own Shirley Manson, the band’s lead singer, is set to come home for the performance at Edinburgh Castle on Saturday, July 11.
The Scottish-American band, which is also made up of Butch Vig, Duke Erikson and Steve Marker, will be the final headliner as part of the Edinburgh Castle Concerts series in 2026.
Tickets for the concert are set to go on sale this week, with fans able to grab tickets when they go on sale via Ticketmaster on Friday, December 5 at 10am. Customers should note that tickets are not available from Edinburgh Castle.
Premium hospitality experiences for the concert series at Edinburgh Castle are available from Seatunique.com.

Formed in 1993 in Madison, Wisconsin, Garbage have achieved massive worldwide success and sold millions of albums across the globe. Three decades of music has seen them release eight studio albums and hits such as Queer, Only Happy When It Rains, Stupid Girl and the James Bond theme The World Is Not Enough.
Shirley Manson said: “Bringing my band home for what most likely will be our last headline show in Scotland, feels both poignant and triumphant. It’s a full circle moment for me and it means the world. To be asked to grace the stage with Edinburgh Castle as our backdrop will be, without doubt, one of the greatest honours of my professional career.”
The band’s eighth studio album Let All That We Imagine Be The Light, released earlier this year, was expansive, explosive and was released to a rapturous response, with some calling it their best album since their debut. Garbage’s show at Edinburgh Castle is part of the band’s year-long return to performing, having done shows across North America, New Zealand and Australia this year, with dates across the UK in 2026.
