HOUSE sellers in Edinburgh are frequently switching estate agent in a bid to speed up property sales, it was claimed today.
Matthew Munro, of Knight Frank in Edinburgh, said the current property slowdown was causing frustration over the length of time it takes to sell homes.

Mr Munro said: "We have gained clients at other agents' expense and have lost clients when they have moved on to someone else.

"There is a lack of confidence in the market just now which is causing a degree of panic among sellers, who are either taking their property off the market, postponing the sale or moving to another agent.

"This is not going to speed up the process – in fact it can even look bad for the seller.

"Reputable agents, who have plenty of experience in the housing market during good times and bad times, will give the best advice to their clients – tailored to suit the circumstances.

"Both seller and agent want the same thing – the best price for the property.

"At the moment, the market is slower than last year and footfall is down."

Aha! That's where they are going wrong. Maybe they should try a solicitor as most properties are sold that way in SCOTLAND.

What a ridiculous press/advertising release.

It also works to sell your house for nothing.

Cashback. That's what they need. An attractive cashback offer and the first month free.

I'd switch to ESPC lads. In their Edinburgh, houses sell before the seller has even thought of selling them.

Remax had a buyer for me before she had even been into my house to value it? Aye right, so she did! I'm still waiting for said buyer.

Doesn't selling imply that you get something in exchange for said goods?

This market will illustrate that there is a difference between solicitors and estate agents.

Many solicitors will find that they will actually need to market and sell properties rather than just take your money for doing little/nothing... This will shake out those that don't have the skills or aptitude to sell.
