THE world's richest man tucked into a bowl of peanut M&Ms for breakfast ahead of addressing a major conference at the Scottish Parliament.
Microsoft tycoon Bill Gates gave instructions for the chocolate treats to be on the table for his early-morning meeting where the guest list included the presidents of Iceland and Albania.

And he ordered more M&Ms for his meetings throughout the day at Holyrood yesterday during the Microsoft Government Leaders Forum, also attended by Chancellor Gordon Brown.

Parliament staff had to send out for the sweets because they are not included in their normal stock.

An insider said: "We got a specific order from Mr Gates' personal staff.

"If you're the richest man in the world and you feel like M&Ms for breakfast, why not?"

Thanks for giving her ideas, Gates. Is there NO end to your creativity?
