MARK PROCTOR today warned Livingston chairman Pearse Flynn he will quit if he keeps the club in the First Division but is not allowed sufficient transfer funds in the summer.
Proctor, who has steered his team five points clear of the drop zone, despite a 3-2 defeat at Clyde on Saturday, said: "There will be changes made. I think I inherited 16 players from the previous manager and I would like to put my own stamp on the t
eam.
"If the transfer embargo does not get lifted, I don't think I shall be coming back."
Flynn must settle the contract of Emmanuel Dorado before the club is once again allowed to sign players.
It was Clyde's first home victory since December 15, when they beat Livvy 2-1. But it looked like there would be only one winner during the first 15 minutes as Leigh Griffiths scared the Clyde defenders with his lightning pace.
However, he limped off soon after and was replaced by Steven Weir before Clyde went ahead four minutes later.
Gary McSwegan is, shall we say, a little robust these days with an ample backside, but he can still trouble defenders. He beat the offside trap and smashed a shot at the advancing Colin Stewart who did well to parry, only for Pat Clarke to fire home the rebound.
It was 2-0 four minutes later when Ruari MacLennan shot past the static Stewart from 20 yards.
Livvy pulled one back through Weir before the break, but Clarke's goal on after 48 minutes proved to be the winner, despite Mark Tinkler's freak goal, from almost the halfway line, late on.
Proctor added: "It was kamikaze defending. We started well, but gave away two poor goals, and then, after all I had said at half-time, we gave away another poor goal after the break."
