LIVINGSTON star player Robert Snodgrass has revealed he has turned down an offer to double his wages at the club and will instead seek pastures new.
The Scotland under-21 star is out of contract at Almondvale and new owner Angelo Massone made retaining Snodgrass his top priority after buying the club earlier this month. However, Snodgrass, who scored ten goals for the Lions last term, has reveale
d he is seeking a fresh challenge.
He said: "The new owners offered me a three-year-deal, but I told them I was keen to move on and take the next step in my career."
Since Snodgrass is under 23, Livingston would still be due compensation were he to move on.
He added: "I've had offers from Dundee, Hamilton and Kilmarnock but I don't think Hamilton and Killie are keen on paying compensation.
"I've also have had interesting offers from four or five teams in England. I have been down south over the last couple of weeks visiting clubs and their stadiums and I feel the time is right for a fresh challenge."
Hartlepool and Crewe are two of the English teams chasing his signature. However, Livingston are reported to want a six-figure sum if Snodgrass leaves.
"I'm told they're looking for a compensation figure which is putting teams off, I just hope they will be realistic," he added.
