LIVINGSTON football advisor Davie Hay is thrilled the Lions are heading to Parkhead.
The Almondvale club face Celtic in the Co-Operative Insurance Cup third round and Hay, who was in charge of Celtic before winning the Cup as boss of Livingston, said: "It was the draw we were looking for, for obvious reasons. I think the aim for the
lads is that they don't let themselves down.
"Shocks can happen but we have our prize in that we are playing at Celtic. I hope the team don't let themselves down. If they do, the cheque will be welcome!"
Livingston last night rejected deadline bids for striker Leigh Griffiths, midfielder Murray Davidson and a renewed bid for club captain James McPake. The club received offers from unnamed SPL and English clubs. Chairman Angelo Massone, said: "These players are some of our best and we do not wish to sell them. We want to build a team that will compete to win the league."
