After a long winter, the start of March not only brings longer days and the promise of spring ahead, but also a month full of reasons to celebrate. With the popular restaurant festival Eat Out Edinburgh returning in 2024 for the whole month, locals can head out for every special occasion this month without breaking the bank.

Offering anything from set menus to exclusive events spanning Princes Street to George Street, and Charlotte Square to St. James Quarter, every holiday is accounted for with fantastic food and drink deals perfect to share with family and friends all month long.  

Mother’s Day, 10 March

All great mums deserve the best, so take her for the ‘Best of BABA’ – the Mediterranean restaurant will be serving this exclusive set menu every day in March for Eat Out Edinburgh, with five dishes priced at just £27.50 per person to feed the whole family.

Treating mum to an evening out? The Voodoo Rooms will be offering customers a ‘Bottle and a Bite’ for two – with a bottle of house red, white or rose wine alongside a bite to eat from their new bar bites menu for £35.

St Patricks Day, 17 March

What better day to indulge in a pint of Guinness alongside your Sunday roast? Enjoy 28-day dry aged beef and all the trimmings as a part of the Angels Share offer of 20% off a la carte throughout the month of March for a delicious way to celebrate.

After a filling meal, swap your usual dram for an Irish whisky at Rarity bottle shop within Bonnie and Wilde, who are putting on tasting events and meet the maker sessions every weekend of the month.

Easter Sunday, 31 March

Dressed in your Sunday best, head to Easter supper at Dean Banks at The Pompadour to enjoy a memorable meal in historic surroundings. The fine dining venue is offering a special six course tasting menu for £79 a person.

Enjoy Easter fare the Italian way with decadent pastas or go classic with Borders lamb at Contini, who are offering two courses for £25 or three courses for £30 from their set lunch and a la carte menus, with a glass of complimentary Prosecco on arrival.
