POLICE have launched an appeal to trace two young children from Edinburgh who are believed to have been on the run with their father for more than a year.
Charles Turner, nine, and his sister Rhianna, eight, were first reported absent from Gracemount Primary School on June 17 last year.

It is believed they are with their father Charles Turner, 34, who is wanted on several outstanding warrants in relation to drugs offences.

The children had been living with their father and police want to trace the family to ensure the children are well.

Police chiefs today said they had not been able to glean any information on their whereabouts from either side of the family, but it is thought they could have been taken abroad.

Charles is described as white, with blue eyes, and light-coloured hair. He is around 5ft tall, of medium to heavy build, and wears glasses. Rhianna is white, with blue eyes, and light-coloured hair.

She is of medium build, and is around 4ft 2in tall.
