AN anti-racist community group has decided to change its name after 14 years of fighting for equality in the Capital.
The Black Community Development Project will change to CORE (Community Organisation for Race Equality) at the end of the month, following a decision to try to better reflect the full range of services it offers.

Director Tesfu Gessesse said: "Our fight has never solely been about the rights of the visible minority ethnic people, but also about all human beings who suffer from social injustice and discrimination."

CORE will be launched by Edinburgh North and Leith MSP Mr Malcolm Chisholm on 27 November at The Muirhouse Millennium Centre.
